Regardless of who wins the election this week, people wanting to build their wealth through property should do it now – or miss the opportunity of a lifetime.

With both parties agreeing not to abolish negative gearing, conditions are ideal to elect for a new lease on property life with strong rental yields, unceasing demand and ongoing supply shortages – not to mention the income and capital gains that can be generated and the fact that it is relatively low risk.

To break into the market, consider buying with family, friends or work colleagues, and if you already have equity in your own home or another investment property, borrow against it.
